DEWEY DECIMAL CLASSIFICATION
The Dewey
Decimal Classification System,
which is based on decimal order, is a subject arrangement using
numbers. It brings together resources on the same subject. All
knowledge is divided into ten major classes and these are then
subdivided into more specific categories. There are always three whole
numbers and there can be many decimal places.
