- BIBLIOGRAPHIES
It
is important to give
the sources of the information you have used in your research. If you
don’t do this you could be guilty of plagiarism –
that is, of stealing someone else’s ideas or work!
You
should write down the
details of resources as you use them. You can encounter problems if you
leave this till the end of your task – for example, the book
you used might be out on loan, or it may be time-consuming to find the
web sites again or they may have changed.
A
bibliography is a list
of all the sources you have consulted for a piece of work. You need to
include details about the author, title, publisher and date of the
source. Your sources are arranged in alphabetical order of their
author’s surname, or if there is no author, their title. The
bibliography is included at the end of your work.
