Activities at Gilles Street
Harmony Week celebrates Australia's cultural diversity.
It's about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.
Harmony Day takes place on March 21st each year. As the day itself falls on a Sunday this year, we will be having three days of whole school celebrations from the 17-19th of March. Class teachers are also encouraged to hold activities in their classes right through the week.
On the Wednesday and Thursday our Student Wellbeing Leader, Meagan Hart, will set up games and activities that promote inclusivity and understanding of other cultures.
On Friday 19th of March we will be encouraging all students to dress in orange, the traditional colour of Harmony Day.
We encourage all students to join in and create a sea of orange!
